It just doesn’t cease to amaze us the concepts and designs that our Asian friends keep coming up with! Have a look at this very trendy and awesomely-designed shoe store in Hong Kong. The company behind the design, Wonderwall, says they based the design on “orderly-chaos”, trying to emphasise each brand with vivid coloured neon lights. We like!

Have a look at this new concept - called “Pod” living - from JadeNYC. Their uniqueness comes from combining the kitchen, bathroom and closet into a central pod-like cube. The designs are very, very stylish and people who already own these pods, will definitely be able to show off their trendiness to friends.
JadeNYC is currently located in Chelsea, UK. But if this concept works as great as it looks, you can soon expect it to be all over.

This is indeed vector art created in Adobe Illustrator - we promise! The above picture of actress, Angelina Jolie, was created by Canadian artist, Wayne Forrest. View the unrendered version of this picture here.
It’s really amazing how close these vector images come to the real thing. With a quick glance, you’d have to have a really well-trained eye to spot the differences.

Have a look at this modified PC (or coffee table??) built by super-geek (the PC is water-cooled) Stephen Johnson.
The PC boasts a 160 GB HDD, TV Tuner and Wi-Fi to stream any videos directly to your TV. The quite sizeable HDD also offers you the capability of recording your favourite shows directly to the PC.
Overall the design is quite trendy and the blue light makes the whole idea of a coffee table with a built-in PC seem like a good one. Indeed very stylish and definitely a must-have for computer geeks…

Bayside is another emo / rock / punk bands from the Victory Records stable and Victory are mostly dead-on when they sign a new band - although Bayside have been around since 2000. In 2003 they released their debut album, entitled “Sirens & Condolences” on Victory.
Their next two releases, an full-length entitled “Bayside” in 2005 and a Acoustic Live CD / DVD this year, have propelled the band to amazing success.
Personally, Bayside reminds us a little bit of a younger Alkaline Trio, with especially lead-vocalist Anthony Raneri, reminiscent of Matt Skiba in a way. Bayside makes some awesome music - not too heavy / alternative for the pop kiddies - but it is their good mix between singing and screaming vocals that stand out.
Having only recently discovered a band that’s been around the block, we feel a little stupid, but Bayside are worth all the hype right now. They’re touring all over the US & UK with more well-known bands such as Vendetta Red & Silverstein.
We must also mention that their website is very well-designed as well, with some clever use of Flash graphics. Certainly one of the better band homepages out there!
Check them out. And remember Bayside is a cult.
