This is probably one of the most insane things I’ve ever seen in my life…Truly! I know that professional pool / snooker players are very good at those trick shots they exhibit sometimes, but this trick construction just takes the cake! Check this shitteth outeth…

We published a pic and a story a while ago about Scarlett Johannsen being a bit distracting. This time it’s her boobs making the headlines (in a good way). Look at this old fart in the picture…Down boy - Sit UBU sit!

We know we featured the lovely Sophia Bush the other day along with the One Tree Hill crew, but we decided that we hadn’t had enough of this beautiful girl yet… This time we got some great (and fun) photos of her, which she did for Entertainment Weekly recently.
This 24-year-old actress is really on the top in Hollywood at the moment and although we don’t think she’ll be the most classic Hollywood beauty of the century, we still thinks she’s a pretty good actress and she’s got the looks to boot! Except from her role as Brooke Davis, in One Tree Hill, she’s only had a few notable appearances in movies until now. She was however seen in John Tucker must die and Stay Alive, this year, which again, won’t be the two best movies of 2006, but at least it’s not as bad as Poseidon…

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about blogging in general over the last few days. What does it mean do own a blog like The Cool Crowd (not that it’s even that popular…)? The Cool Crowd is currently averaging about 100 unique visitors daily and we’re making about us$30 / month from AdSense. So it’s not a huge thing really, but does this justify us paying the domain, the web hosting and spending time on designing the blog?
Sure, everyone is blogging these days and blog is totally POP culture. And we know we’re doing this, because it’s a geeky hobby and that it’s actually fun just to type words and have it appear on a worldwide stage. But where does this whole blogging thing take us?
I’m sure that it’s sounding like I’m whining about this, but I’m actually just thinking out loud.
There’s just stuff that bothers me about blogging - especially blogging about topic-specific stuff (like we do here). I don’t think that personal-type diary blogs fall into this rant, but then again, those blogs are just self-glorified efforts of lonely people to be liked.
How many blogs just copy posts on other blogs? What is unique content? I know I get “inspiration” (read: information) for my posts from the various blogs I read on a daily basis. I guess my question is that if so many bloggers just post what they read on another blog, where did the unique content start? Is it possible to trace the information back to the source? Sure, a lot of more the more popular blogs (Techcrunch and Mashable! are examples) get the news before anyone else and they blog about it? But this is not the case for the Average Joe Blogger…
So blogging is just the circulation and distribution of information in the end!?
I don’t really have an answer to this and therefor we’ll probably continue to blog in the way we’re used to. We like posting YouTube videos and graphics to every post, because we are visually-inclined. But we can’t claim to be original in any way, because we are indeed doing what so many other bloggers are doing - we’ve just gone one step further and registered the domain…
First off, we found this insane video of My Chemical Romance performing their debut single, “Welcome to the Black Parade” live at MTV’s VMA PreShow. The big hoo-hah about this however is the fact that they performed the whole song live on the rooftop of a massive building in midtown Manhattan! Another awesome part of the video is the kiddies that MCR got in on the act - they actually sing the bridge late in the song - so cute!
Check it out, it’s insane…
Second reason to celebrate was also the fact that we got the new MCR album (The Black Parade) yesterday and we’ve had quite a earful of it thusfar. The only way for us to describe the sound of this album, is EPIC. The sound is big and different, very, very different. My Chemical Romance has definitely experimented with a new sound on this album and although we don’t think they’ve sold out, the album is certainly more radio-friendly. This is one of those albums that will grow on you over time, but it’s also one of those albums that might piss off and alienate previous fans…
MCR have definitely come up with all guns blazing and they’ve created a massive and complete audiovisual package for the new album. This is evident in the start to the video above and also the quality of the music video for “Welcome to the Black Parade”. What’s also interesting is that vocalist, Gerard Way, has coloured his hair completely blonde and he looks all Nazi super-race with the blonde hair and supposed (might be contacts) blue eyes. The whole Nazi thing is also interesting, as a lot of the songs and definitely the videos give you the idea that it’s all Hitler-inspired.
