This is a YouTube video that has been doing the round on various blogs the last few days.
Although we’ve known forever that models are photoshopped extensively before the public ever gets to see the final product, this video actually has us staring at the computer screen in utter disbelief. This is really insane. We always thought that models were at least half-decent and half-pretty, but according to this anyone of us (yes us at The Cool Crowd too) can be the next big model - some of us will just require a little more “help”
So why is the modelling so anal about the length of a model (for instance) then? When everything is photoshopped and manipulated anyway, why care about a trivial few inches? This video also implies that not all models are stupid, because that ugly librarian chick is actually a runway model in France…
The reason why the big record companies did not sue YouTube too emerged today. This is after Grouper and Bolt! got sued last week…Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and Sony BMG all signed deals with GooTube (on the day of the deal) to take a share in the newly formed company. With the expected rise in the market value of the company, the record companies have already earned an estimated $50 million on their share…
This comes as a real surprise to us (or does it really???), since the big record companies are not known to be very friendly with other people (read: Napster). But what the heck, now at least we know what’s going on as well…
Found this really cool photoblog online, called Greyscale Gorilla. The blog features a wide variety of pics taken by the author / owner - some of the photos are more personal (like pics from his ski trip), and unfortunately there’s no kinky photos of his wife and / or mistress… : )
Nah, that’s only tongue-in-cheek talk. Definitely a blog to check out - it’s got some awesome, awesome, awesome photos. Here’s just one example:

What is it about a slick design that just gets us a tad over-excited? We totally and fully support really great ads, but we love the minimalistic and clean style.
Normally ads in this style is just so accessible and it gets the point accross so much easier. We really can’t define why we get so excited, but we do. And this ad against racism in football, is just brilliant in this regard… Combining old-school Nazi ideals, with a grungy background and a serious message, this ad really gets the message accross!

We’re not claiming to be sporting jocks or experts or extreme followers of the English Football Leagues, but we did hear about the freak accident Chelsea FC goalkeeper, Petr Cech, suffered over the weekend. Chelsea beat Reading 1 - 0 in the game, but the fact that their star goalie suffered a fractured skull in the second minute of the game, has left the whole club and it’s fans up in arms. According to the club doctors and the specialist neuro-surgeon that treated Cech, the operation was a success, but he’ll still be out of football for about half a year.
Thanks to YouTube, we’ve got the replays of the incident for you. I must say, having first read the reports about the accident and then only seeing the replay, the report made it look much worse than on the replay. But who am I to argue with modern medicine?
