GoogTube!?

Well, a lot has been said about Google buying YouTube last week and a lot of people are very angry. Others like Microsoft and Yahoo! have decided to up their research budgets and invest more in social networking. But the big question still remains what will happen to YouTube now that it is controlled by someone else? Will it still be so cool or will it be Googled (not saying that that is a bad thing either…)?

Well one YouTuber, Zunbidos, has a theory about what will happen and he’s posted his video theory on YouTube (where else huh?). We love this little comedy…

At one stage, the video also suggests GoogleFox, which we must say in our humble opinion will be the f$^#-up of the century, since Mozilla Firefox is the best browser around at the moment and we don’t think a Googled version of Firefox would be too good for our health…

Some cool music videos

So we decided to hunt some of our favourite music videos at the moment down on YouTube. Since pasting all of the code for the vids in this post, would make this post uber-long, we decided to rather list our Top 5 in order. The songs link back to their individual YouTube pages.

Please comment on our taste - tell us we’re cool!

Lordi - Would you love a monsterman?

My Chemical Romance - Welcome to the Black Parade

Lark - Moonlight (this is a South African band)

Zella Mayzell - Straight ahead at the end of the court

The Used - All that I’ve got

Hopelessly Romantic

Hopeless Romantic?

Doesn’t this just bring out the true hopeless romantic in you? Nah, we’re just being all emo and soppy - the ad isn’t that good… But it’s still funny and a really clever idea. We think all this outside-of-the-box thinking is doing the world of good for advertising as a whole. And a good advertisement will always leave you either with a smile on your face or with some serious thinking about the ad’s message.

Canon blows away with new outdoor advertising

Need we say much more about this outdoor campaign by Canon? Pretty slick and clever…

Saw

Saw I and II are two of favourite movies ever. Not because of all the blood and gore, but more so for the clever pschycological plot about man’s primal instincts. Surely these movies must evoke some kind of thought about how destructive and selfish man can be…

Well, the new installment, III, is out soon (27 October) and just as an appetizer we’ve posted the official teaser for the movie.

NOTE: This might actually take your appetite away…
