It seems that not only are condoms coming in a spray-on form but now also with a musical suprise. A Ukranian scientist has invented a condom which plays music while you put the condom to use. A Ukranian scientist doesn’t inspire ideas of amazing sex so perhaps this was his way of putting some spark back in to his relationship.
A motion sensor in the condom means that the more vigorous your love making becomes, the louder the music plays from the condom. Now there are a variety of questions which spring to mind in this scenario and I can’t personally say I’ve ever laid eyes on this musical protection device, but it does sound rather odd. What music does it play for instance? Do you perhaps choose between packs which are labelled: Hip-hop, Pop, Alternative or Country?
I can only imagine the devastating scenario which would be caused if half way through the fun I am met with the sound of Paris Hilton belting from my chosen condom. Sheesh, talk about psychological damage!

Lego recently had the prestigious ad firm, Saatchi & Saatchi, create this ad campaign entitled “Rebuild it!” for the brand. The images depict recent real-life disaster scenes that have shocked the world in recent years.
Both these ads are however USA-related and we all know how passionate and patriotic they are about their dear country. This means that although we don’t necessarily agree with the campaign, it will certainly evoke some kind of reaction out of the American public.
So is this clever or just plain stupid?

We know it’s weird publishing funny little dildo-shaped thingies on our blog, but these “inventiones” are quite fun - and NO, they don’t vibrate and NO, they should not be used for sexual stimulation either…
This is a new invention by a German company and what it comes down to is it being “spray-on” condoms. You basicly spray it your genital and it then solidifies to form a latex covering. Dunno how safe it is, because what happens if you miss a spot? And how difficult is it to get off after you’ve done the deed?
We’re also wondering whether you get the featherlight or ribbed spray-ons? At least king-size is not a problem anymore…
The threat of global warming has become such a huge problem in recent years that it seems we actually don’t know how to stop it. It is impossible to just stop everything in the world as economies would crash and the world will be sent into chaos. However, if we carry on like we are and oceans rise, chaos will ensue anyway. What we need is a multi-dimensional approach to the problem and it needs to start with our daily transport and our homes. Bio fuels are being developed out of things as simple as maize yet in South Africa we are still using electricity in our houses that comes from dirty sources. Most of our electricity is made by burning coal which is unbelievable. Every single day coal is being burned, therefore polluting the atmosphere, just to make sure we have light and power for our appliances.
A breakthrough has been found though in the field of solar power. A team, led by Professor Vivian Alberts of the University if Johannesburg, has developed a thin, flexible metal alloy that is only 5 microns thick. Considering a human hair is 20 microns thick, this is quite remarkable. Reports say that that an average home would need 30sq/m of the panelling to meet all it’s electricity needs. Remarkably, it is also reported that these panels will function during winter as well, not needing direct sunlight to produce power. Ther are still a couple of unanswered questions regarding the price of these panels. However if you visit the site listed below there are comments posted there that would seem to explain a little bit more about the technology. Let’s hope they get it into production at an affordable price as soon as possible.
