Muse might not be the newest band around, but after a little studio break, this progressive rock outfit has come back to produce one of their best albums to date, Black Holes & Revelations.
The band consists of Matthew Bellamy (vocals & guitar), Dominic Howard (drums) & Chris Wolstenholme (bass & vocals). The band has been together for about 12 years now and have released four studio and one live album to date. Combining Bellamy’s awesome vocal range, with the band’s progressive ideas and musical experimentation, Muse has established themselves with a very unique sound. Their music probably has no borders and therefor no definition would suffice…
With Black Holes & Revelations, Muse have gone with a slightly less dark sound, which they absolutely perfected with some great studio mixing. The album has already spawned three singles and there could be one or two more. The best thing about BH&R is probably the new direction, but old formula, that Muse used and Bellamy’s vocals sound better than ever.
This is a band that grows on you, but not after the first lesson. They are different. Deal with it.
